NIHR Receives Ambassador of Mexico to Saudi Arabia and non-resident to Bahrain

Eng. Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR), received at the NIHR Headquarters in the Seef District Mr. Anibal Gomez Toledo, ambassador of Mexico in Saudi Arabia and non-resident to Bahrain.

During the meeting, Al-Derazi welcomed Mr. Toledo and gave him an overview of the NIHR’s function, objectives and competencies contained in its Establishment Law, reviewing the role entrusted to the NIHR in dealing with human rights issues in the Kingdom of Bahrain.  The two sides also discussed a number of topics of common interest, as well as ways of coordination and joint cooperation between them.

For his part, Mr. Toledo expressed his thanks for the warm reception, praising the importance of the NIHR’s role in protecting and promoting human rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity.
